The magician displays three jumbo cards, each with a colored spot on both sides, red, green, and yellow. The cards are placed into a folded piece of newspaper or under a silk hank. The magician then removes the red spot card, shows it on both sides, and then places it aside. Likewise the green spot card is removed, and also shown on both sides and placed aside. This of course leaves the yellow card inside the paper or cloth. However the magician declares that the yellow card has vanished. That declaration is suspect of course, and especially since the outline of the card seems to be poking through behind the paper or hank!
Finally the magician pulls the card out from under the covering and written on it in huge letters is the word WRONG. The paper or silk hank covering is shown empty and tossed aside. “Not so fast” thinks the audience. Kids of course demand that the card be turned around, with the thinking that the card on the other side has the yellow dot! Of course the adults are thinking the same thing, but they are usually more polite! Finally after some hesitation and comical byplay, the magician turns the card around and on the other side in giant lettering are the words WRONG AGAIN!
This classic “fooled and fooled again” sort of routine hasn’t been available to the magic fraternity for a number of years, and not since the demise of the manufacturer Haines House of Cards. We recently acquired several of these great effects from a supplier with only a few left in stock. This is a great children or family audience effect. It is nicely printed, packs flat, and visible for any sized audience. Get it while you can! 385CMSTOPLITETRIX
