This deluxe Chair Suspension features reinforced steel chairs and gimmick. No assistant is required and any average sized audience member can usually be used. This illusion can be performed completely surrounded and clear of backdrops and drapes.
The magician displays two chairs and a long wooden board with a cloth covering. He positions the chairs back-to-back and then lays the wooden board across the backs of the chairs. A person then lays on the board and the magician momentarily covers the volunteer with the cloth. He then removes the chair supporting the volunteer's feet and the volunteer is floating in the air, apparently balancing on the one chair near her neck!
But that's not all. Suddenly the magician removes the board and now there is apparently nothing holding the volunteer in the air except the chair under her neck! The magician may walk away while the person is suspended. Reverse the procedure and the magician and assistant receive their just applause.
The illusion does not require assistants and the chairs can be folded for easy transport as per regular folding chairs. The board measures about 45 inches long and 13 wide. It is a lightweight mystery that packs flat and can be shipped or transported anywhere in the world. NOTE: Please don't get this product mixed-up with the less expensive (and not-so-well-made) Chair Suspension. This product is the deluxe version (reinforced steel) and the only version we believe to be a safe product.
One of the most practical and puzzling illusions ever created. This ornate chopper will fit into any type of show, and it can be performed close-up and even surrounded! The magician first uses the chopper to cut through a vegetable to demonstrate the sharpness of the metal blade. The blade is removed and a volunteer's neck is secured in the stocks. The magician now forces the blade down through the victim's neck. The blade is in full view at all times and is plainly seen as it passes through the neck. Without any fumbling the blade is withdrawn and the volunteer is of course unharmed. The construction is of the best.
The victim sits in a chair and the magician lowers an ornate chest down over the volunteer's head. The magician them begins to insert a series of 15 daggers into the chest! When the front door of the chest is opened, the spectator's head has vanished! The audience only sees the profusion of the metal daggers. No black art principle is used. The chest is decorated in bright colors and measures 12 by 16 by 10-1/2 inches. A portable and powerful illusion.
The magician asks for a willing participant to put their head in the wooden stock. After being tightly secured, an electric jigsaw is introduced, complete with a hideous foot long blade. The magician switches on the saw momentarily to show it is real. He then inserts the blade of the saw down into one end of the stock, turns the saw back on, and then magically proceeds to cut right through the volunteer's neck. The blade even cuts through a carrot protruding through the holes in the stock right above the volunteer's head. After cutting all the way from one side to the other, the saw is switched off and removed from the stocks. The volunteer is completely unharmed of course, is released as well from the stock, and receives their just applause. Note that the saw and blade can be passed for examination before the performance of the trick, and yes, the saw and saw blade are real in every sense of the word. Any audience member can be used without prior rehearsal. The illusionette packs flat, sets up in only a couple of minutes, and provides a multitude of moments for comedic interaction.
A small platform on casters is rolled to the performing area. Resting on platform are two wooden trestles. They support a decorative top to represent Aladdin's Flying Carpet. A child is invited to sit cross-legged on the carpet. The magician then moves each trestle out from under the carpet. The child is magically floating on the carpet and apparently suspended in mid-air! The magician can then pass an ordinary hula-hoop (not included) over and apparently around the floating carpet and child. The screens are put back in place, the child hops down off the carpet, and both the magician and spectator take their thunderous round of applause.
This is the Chadwick Illusion Fabrications model of the famous Jack Gwynne Flying Carpet illusion. The illusionette is supplied with everything needed for performance. This is the most economical method for floating a person in the air and is extremely well built. Designed for the weight of most children up to about 75 pounds, this illusion features Chadwick quality inside out. The illusion boasts a "gooseneck" principle so that the hula-hoop really does look like it goes around the girl. Do not confuse this quality illusion with the poorly made and inferior MAK Magic product that is distributed by many magic dealers. This is a professional quality made product that is available exclusively from the Illusion Warehouse.
Any spectator's arm is placed in the chopper. A large solid blade (it really is, and ungimmicked too) is forced down thru the spectator's wrist. The spectator's actual hand (not a dummy) is seen to drop off and fall in the bag below! This is a remake of the famous U. F. Grant chopper by Chadwick Illusion Fabrications. The illusion looks great on stage but can be used in the living room as well. The unit packs flat, is light weight and is easy to transport. Remember . . .
